Nippers Membership Requirements
At least one parent/guardian must join as an associate member for a child to join nippers. This also gives the parent/guardian automatic membership to the Supporters Club. We encourage both parents to join the club however at least one parent per family must join the surf life saving club and accompany their child on the beach during nipper sessions. Follow the instructions for joining nippers to register yourself as an Associate Member.
All Green Cap Nippers require at least one parent/guardian in the water up to their childs' knees, during water activities.
The annual Proficiency swim is a requirement of Surf Life Saving Australia. Each season prior to participating in any junior activity, ALL junior members (nippers) must complete a proficiency swim assessment at a pool. Proficiency also assists in the management of junior activities. Nippers can do their proficiency swim and sign-on at either a sign-on day at Banora Pool, or sign on at the club and do the swim with their swim coach. (Pool Assessment Form 2018)
